1979 Toyota Landcruiser BJ41v WELL RESTORED
Text & Pictures: Benedicto Evangelista, Phillipines
Hi folks!
This is my fully restored 1979 BJ41v. It has a 2B diesel engine (the original engine) and I had restored the interior. I got this unit surplus from Japan, and it was a total wreck...

It took us 10 months to finish all the works. Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do...!
The unit was originally right hand drive from japan, but you do know that there isn't much of a difference between the two, we were able to transfer its steering to left hand without sacrificing any part of the body or the chassis, it is already power steering.

The suspension of my BJ41v was already fitted with an aftermarket suspension kit when it arrived in my hands, the suspension (shackles and leafsprings) are of 4x4 engineering, and they really are very soft in ride. It also came in with the mechanical winch, all of which are in good working condition, ALL of my friends here cannot believe that we were able to restore the unit as is from the way it looked before...and yes sir, I fitted it with Ranchos RS9000x, and a Rancho steering damper... I have included also some pictures of the under chassis and the engine.... I do hope I get to read your magazine with my unit featured in it... thanks...
Benedicto
